"Ack! She's killing me!" Kitkat joked. Then she acted like she was dead.

Tigerspirit jumped and landed right next to Cranepaw and Moonpaw, her mouth full of mice "Hey guys!" She mewed, setting her prey down.

"Hey Tigerspirit!" mewed Moonpaw excitedly. "How are things in the Tribe so far?"

"Great! We`re thriving already! We`ve got Kittystars kits and Kitkats are on their way!" She jumped with excitement "How`s Windclan?"

"Things are going good too, I suppose. We've been kept busy with regular Apprentice duties. It's great to see Kittystar again though."

"Ok! I'm done! Kitkat meowed. "Hi, Moonpaw! How are things?"

"Oh, but not me!" She joked and cuffed Moonpaws ear, then padded over to Cranepaw and hit his head lightly with her tail "Hello? Anyone there?"

Cranepaw looked up at the Tribe Deputy. "It's great to see you too Tigerspirit."

"Thanks! So, do you two want see how to catch a hawk, eagle?" She mewed enthusiastically.

"Sure we would!!" Moonpaw answered quickly. "Let's go Cranepaw! It'll be fun."
Cranepaw got up to follow Tigerspirit and Moonpaw. For some reason he felt strange inside. He wasn't sure if it was because the desert heat, or the fear of an eagle swooping down to make prey out of him, or ...something else.

"Alright! Come on, Cranepaw! You know an eagles not actually going to catch you, right?" She mewed, slowing down.

"Umm, I guess not." he replied quietly as he tried to think of something else to say. "Those kits could make you believe hedgehogs can fly if you let them." Moonpaw let out a mrrow of amusement.

"Yep, those kits are a pawful!" She smiled and buried her mice.

Kittystar was on a large steep rocky ridge above the two and she yowled "Hello Tigerspirit! Teaching Cranepaw about eagle hunting?! Well be carefull, an eagle nested on black bone ridge and had her chicks, but is very protective! Kitkat and I learned that the hardway!" she purred before she vanished into the camp.

"Some are more talented than others!" She yelled up, grinning.

"And with Kitkat's on the way, the Tribe will be become more busy when they do arrive...I guess they will be lucky to have you around to take care of things. I guess we were only like that too when we were young, right Moonpaw?"
His littermate turned around and looked at him strangely.
"When we were young? You make it sound like it was years rather than moons being kits ourselves."

"I don`t know, sometimes I get scolded for acting like a kit! But thanks for the compliment! Well, we can`t go huntting now. It`s to dark, it`d be to hard for an eagle to see a mouse. Oh well, let`s go back to camp!" She mewed, looking at the darkening sky.

Cranepaw followed them back to the camp. "So, do you think we'll be staying for the night? I hear the desert can get as cold as Iceclan territory when the Sun goes down."

Kittystar was streched out her rock and Mallowkit and Gracekit were snuggled up against her and mewling "Mamma! I'm sleepy! Yay! Can we go to bed now????" Kittystar purred and pushed them into her den that she shared with Snakefire and before she followed them in she called "Tigerspirit would you please show our guest where they can sleep for the night? Mallowkit and Gracekit need to be fed...." she looked questionly at Tigerspirit.

"Sure, Kittystar! If you want to, Cranepaw. You`re welcome to." She grabbed a mouse and nudged it towards Cranepaw.

Kittystar sighed in relief and then vanished into her den with her kits.

"Oh, thank you." Cranepaw replied as he began to take a sniff. "Do..do you maybe want to share it?"

"Sure!" She took a bite and sat down.

Cranepaw bent over to take a bite when he accidentally bumped nose-to-nose with Tigerspirit. "Ow! Oops, sowy about dat." he apologized quickly as he rubbed his nose.

Kittystar had came back out for her kits were sleeping and she purred as she saw Cranepaw and Tigerspirit bump noses, Looks like one little apprentice has found his first crush! So cute, too bad if anything serisous happens I can't allow it.....she though sadly.
