Let's go get new members!

Hey everyone! I've been noticing lately that there are more and more members becoming inactive and not returning. I have also noticed that we aren't really gaining many new members. So let's all go and try to get more people to join! More members would just benefit us all. We could even make it into a fun little contest and see who brings in the most new members. So yeah, it was just a little idea I had. Just post some ideas we could use to attract more people to join If you don't have any ideas then just post how you found WCF! Maybe with that information we could find out how most people find WCF in the first place and work from there

Maybe post more topics so that we will appear more on Google?

Yeah. I think we could certainly go on other sites if its not against their rules and advertise a little. I wouldn't go around to everyone though lol. I've been trying to facebook some friends but they never reply back lol. But I hope we succeed. How about we think of some kind of plan?

I don't think we should advertise on other sites. We don't allow it, so why should we? It wouldn't be right in my opinion. a lot of these members came from another site and now that site is inactive, but they can't advertise even though it took their members. So I disagree, but y'know, that's just my opinion.

Make YouTube videos, maybe? A twitter page, a Facebook and an Instagram?

I kinda have to agree with auburn, though. We might get banned on the other sites.\
EDIT: I also made an alt on another site and, I named it "WarriorCatForum"
I sent links to this site on that alt. XD

Yeah!!!! I can make some YouTube videos if you want. We just need to have an ACTIVE twitter and formspring and stuff. But we just need to keep it active. You can entrust the sites to certain people, like a trusted member or mod or something.

Instagram would be good, I could advertise to my friends on there, I'm sure they might take an interest. I found the site by accident. I was searching Google and it camp up, so AI clicked it, I LOVED the set up so I thought t would be fun!

The thing is, I've seen other sites where they actually have sections that say, "Other Sites" I guess it'd be okay if you advertise on sites that don't have anything against advertising.

If any of you guys have Gmail, search up Warrior Cats Forum on Google+! I made a page, and it wouldn't hurt if you showed your friends. I also believe Dragonclaw made a page of WFC on Facebook as well.

I don't thinkk that's fair, since we wouldn't allow it if they asked.

New members would be nice, but we can't just go around advertising and then never posting again on those sites. Like Auburn said, if we advertised on someone's site, then they joined and they wouldn't be able to share theirs, that would be unfair. Advertising's ok by me, but before anyone does it on another site, pm the owner or an admin if it would be ok first.

I think that if we got a bunch more members it would be hard to keep the rules straight. Bigger forums are chaotic, and its easier for people to get away with things. That's just my opinion though.

Yeah, but just because we don't allow it and they do doesn't meet it's unfair. It's the other forum's choice to allow their members to discuss other forums. Different forum, different rules.

Greedy and selfish? How can it be greedy and selfish, if they allow others to advertise? Other sites might have enough members to spare, but we don't at the moment. Other people should know well enough that each forum has their own set of rules that may be different than what they are used to.

Brighty is right. That makes no sense. If they allow advertising it really wouldn't be wrong. That would be THEIR fault if they allowed advertising and lost members from other people. They allowed advertising, so its there fault if they lose any members. Its not greedy or selfish. They obviously would have members to spare, and like Brighty said we don't at the moment.

So what is it? are we gonna advertise? *shrugs* I have an account I could spare somewhere and they have like 2000 members or something. Should I advertise?

P.S. I don't mind if my account is banned on there.

I agree with Brighty and Windy. I would love to advertise for the forum, because this forum has really been amazing from day 1 and I'd love to help to get more members for the forum. If the site has a section for advertising it wouldn't be against the rules and each forum has their own set of rules like Brighty said. Yet, I would feel safer if we PMed the Admin before advertising just in case. We don't want to give WCF a bad rep.
So yeah that's my opinion

I found this site because when Skittlestar left another site (it wasn't a forum by the way) she said this was where she was going and she left a link. Maybe you could tell your friends who read warriors about the forum, and get your friends who don't read warriors to read it and if they like the books, you could tell them about the forum.

Yeah, I agree with Streamy as well. I think we should invite people maybe from another warrior cats forum or something, or if its another form and theres a warrior cats RP in some kind of other roleplaying section, PM the creator and tell them that this is a good site for all kinds of roleplays.
