do you think the end of the world will happen in late 2012, or will we all make it to 2013?

All in all, it is very unlikely that the world is going to end in 2013.

Although what Ninecloud pointed out.... Bad things do happen on the dragon year though. I can't remember what, but some time in the past a bad thing happened in the year of the dragon.

It's my birth year yes, but I don't think I'm going to cause the world to end
I bet the next year they theink the world will end will be either 2016 or 2050 or something. .-.

Well, I don't think the world is going to end until 3000 or something But these topics do freak me out!

p.s. earthquakes can only get to 10.5. It would take 11 for the earth to only crack open. your probably thinking " oh, so the earth cracks at eleven, and not ten, which is only one lower?" answer: every magnitude higher is x10 higher than the last one. think of the devastation of a 8, imagine the devastation of 9. and then ten would be x10 as powerful as nine, and imagine x10 as powerful as ten? They say it is only possible to get to 10.5 (wow x5 more than ten) but, if something like an ten struck the world in more than one place at once, the earth could end

Earthquakes could get to 11,because it's just a unit, so if you change it, it can I didn't know that last part though!

Oh I just realized. You know why no one has chosen the second choice in the poll? Because it says "We will not make it to 1013" Well of course know that we all made it past 1013.

so, yeah, probably not gonna happen in our earth's lifespan which will last only 500 million years

I say, if it did, human pollution.
But I hope it isn't our fault ( no pun intended ) if the world ends.

Many people have voiced their opinions on that, too. It got off topic for a while and that was why Phantom wanted to lock it

I guess it would be because of overpopulation. People living longer, having more kids, and generally, better quality of life. Then resources will run out, we'll all go into madness and the price of water will become something we can't afford.

These are just my thoughts it is possible this will happen, but not soon. Definitely not by the end of this year. I don't think billions of people can be born by December.

I honestly do think that the world will survive 2012, although, I do think that sea lebels will rise by a little bit in the next couple of years/decades, temperatures will increase ever so slightly, oil and gas prices will rise exponentially until the end of oil (I think around 2027), pollutiln will increase, the number of hurricanes will increase, energy consumption will increase, population will increase, the world economy will collapse, war will be started over oil, terrorism will increase, our understanding of the universe and immensly small particles will increase, and all within the next decade or two. Just my opinion (:
