August has flown past so quickly and now its already September!

For me, End-Of-Year (EOY) Examinations is from 8th of October to 11th October. And I haven't even started revision!!!! Its streaming year which means we will be assigned to new classes based on our exam results!!!! Just tested on a few subjects: English, Chinese, Literature, Science, Mathematics!! FIVE SUBJECTS IS A LOT. OH MY. I HAVE JUST A MONTH TO STUDY SO MANY TOPICS TESTED!!!!

BUT. HERE'S THE GREAT PART. AFTER THE HORRIBLE EXAMS, ITS GOING TO BE THE HOLIDAYS

For me, Semptember is the first full month of school. Summer Vacation is over now! What month does the school year start for you?

Although you guys have a three months straight holiday, I wouldn't say you're lucky because I would probably have forgotten what I was taught

School year starts on January the 2nd, 3rd or 4th

School Holidays are in June, November and December for me!

January? Well, September... The 4th I go back to school, and that's about It, NECAPs come in October. So, September is just the first month of school. (Curse you NECAP test!)

What's NECAP? Reminds me of kneecap. Somehow.
Wow. Looks like our examinations dates are similar! Mine occurs twice a year, Mid-Year-Examinations (MYE) and End-Of-Year (EOY) examinations! >.<

MYE contains two sections: CA1 and SA1
EOY contains two sections: CA2 and SA2

I think SA stands for semestral assessment but I'm not sure about CA

AND THEN. When you're 12, you have a Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) and that score helps when you choose your Secondary School!

Now I'm in Secondary School and when you're 16, you take something called O'Levels and you need that to enter a good junior college/get a job! A'Levels are for the smart ones

NECAPs are the New England Something Something Something. Then like Florida has the FCAPs and so on, I'm not sure the abbreviation, but if you live in a different country, or something, I don't think they do those. They are basically a review of what you learned the first test is Math and Reading the second is Science.

A review? As an examination? Wow. That's all?

She's younger than you. To have some big exam would be unreasonable. It's North American standards, too, which kinda suck

At my school, we don't have any big exams for our grade. They only fall on grades 3 and 6 for public school. We're not having a lot of field trips this year though D: graduation is also at te end of this school year

Cheese, do you have anything like NECAP testing at your school? I'm wondering if it's just USA or North America.

We have EQAO for grades 3, 6 and 9. It's a test that doesn't go on your report card, but it goes in your records. There's one language book and two math books I think, and you are given a week to do them. There's a time set for each, and you spend all your school time (yes, sometimes you skip recess) writing them out. We get snacks when we do them though But they have strict rules like no writing any more than what you can fit on the given lines.

Sounds pretty interesting. Look, we're talking about examinations now How exciting.

Nothing special for me... But it's Labor Day weekend!
This year I don't have to take the math STAAR test!

My labor day weekend shall be spent in the darkness of studying and making summer reading projects-- what joy...
And you still have to take the EOC though Maple, but it's really easy.

We never got summer reading homework :O
I have a 50 states history test on Tuesday D:

September is full of spazzing about orchestra But at the end of Sept, it's my birthday! So, oh well.

So far, I don't know if I have any big exams or projects coming up.... Usually, the fall means I get to go biking every Saturday with Maple.

I used to bike ride every day with Noghtfrost when age lived down the street

I have to work super hard so I can get an award at graduation >< there are so many good people in gifted though D:

Different states have different names. In Massachusetts, they have MCAST (or MCAS, I forget if there is a T or not) Pennsylvania has PSSA's. I have Math, Reading, Science, and Writing.

Yeah, I knew they were different, do you have any idea what NECAP stands for? I know it's New England, because all of New England has the same.

You can search it up o.o Google even had what EQAO stood for.

Could you try to use proper punctuation and spelling in some of your posts? Use periods instead of commas in some places. Just read over it, generally.

I know Streamy, I looked it up :3 Anyway, I go back to school Tuesday, I can't wait but I'm nervous.

Opps, I was looking at the last post on the first page when I posted that. Holidays/ special or important days this month (according to the calender in my bedroom) are: Labor Day, Grandparents Day, National Day of Encouragement, Rosh Hashanah, the First Day of Fall, and See You at the Pole Day.
