Twoleg Nest

So, we go trash a Twoleg Nest.

Er, because:

a) They stole a kit
b) They poisoned our food sources, like the river or the trees, etc.
c) They're cutting down trees
or
d) Cuz we feel like it.

Tawnypelt pricked up her ears. So did Nightfrost. "Do you hear that?" She whispered hoarsely. She nodded. "Take Ripplekit to safety, then come back. He'll probably be calmer with you." Nightfrost nodded, grabbed Ripplekit by his scruff and slipped into the shadows of the dim room. Tawnypelt wove her way outside, backtracking twice because of the Twoleg's voices and their scent of anger and confusion.

Cheesefur prodded through the thick bracken and arrived at the fence dividing the Clan's territory with the Twolegs home. She could hear the rustling of the other cats from the other side and the voices of Twolegs. Carefully, Cheesefur snuck into the Twolegs ground and slipped behind a berry bush. If the other cats found out she'd been exploring on her own, they would surely send her back. Cheesefur tried to sniff the air, but all she could smell was the scent of something unnatural in the soil.

(wow that's long. hehe i'm evil )

Tawnypelt bowled outside, tumbling head-over-paws on a long set of what felt like smooth, angular stones and crumpled in a heap in wrong-smelling earth. Shaking her head to clear it of nausea, she stumbled into a bush and crashed into a warm, furry body. She recognized the scent-"Cheesefur?" Tawnypelt slurred. Her head hurt alot and her vision was fuzzy. "Where-da-kit?" Then she fell on the ground, overcome by the pain and dizzyness of her head.

--I must've had a concussion. --

Icestar bounded up onto a high ledge and started blasting action music. "We must find the kits!" Searchlight beacons flash down from the skies.

Cheesefur smelt her Clanmate and carefully turned around. Tawnypelt's fur was matted with sweat and her ears were slightly bent at a strange angle. Quietly, Cheesefur picked up her clanmate by the scruff of her neck and began dragging her to Whitefire's makeshift medicine den.

Tawnypelt...well, she was unconscious and couldnt' really do anything, could she? But she remembered soft fluffiness gently dragging her somewhere...until she passed out again.

( hehe... i'm "soft fluffiness" !)
Cheesefur finally reached Whitefire's little tree hollow and set Tawnypelt's limp body down in front of a pile of herbs.
"Whitefire?" she called.

Whitefire heard her name being called. "Stay there. Just count poppy seeds for me please.", she told Duskkit, who was helping her count herbs. "Yes? Cheesefur what do you ne-. Oh, j-just lay her down over there.", Whitefire pointed her tail to where Duskkit was counting poppy seeds." I'll wait until she wakes up and then I'll treat her. Thank you Cheesefur!"

Tawnypelt let out a splitting yawn and blinked her eyes open. Whitefire was mixing some sort of lumpy green paste by pounding it with a stone. Her head felt limp and heavy. "Please tell me I don't have to eat that," she croaked.

[i]I hope Tawnypelt wakes up soon, [i/] Cheesefur thought. [i] Because I just caught the world's biggest rabbit!! [i/] Whitefire had suggested that Cheesefur get some prey and water soaked moss for Tawnypelt and Dustkit.

~I thought it was Duskkit? ~

Cheesefur bounded into the clearing with an ENOURMOUS rabbit dangling from her mouth. Tawnypelt perked up and said, "Please tell me I CAN eat THAT!"

(shoot i messed up the italics )

"You can!" Cheesefur replied. "But as long as I get a piece of the meaty part."
"Herbs, coming through!" Whitefire called.
She pawed over some green paste with some poppy seeds.
"Ahh...." Tawnypelt grimaced.
But Whitefire was kind enough to let Tawnypelt eat the paste with the rabbit, so she reluctantly chewed a bit of meat a la paste & seeds.

Whitefire brought out a slimy brown mixture wrapped carefully with a large oak leaf. "Here-just rub this-on your head-where your scar-" "I have a SCAR?!" Tawnypelt yelped, trying to paw her head. "Don't touch it! Just rub this mixture on the scratch to help it heal..." "It smells like fox dung," Tawnypelt pointed out helpfully.

"Well, do you want a big ugly scar on your head you do you want me to heal it??", Whitefire asked Tawnypelt. " Now just rub this on your head like your washing yourself. It might sting a little but it shouldn't be anything a big ShadowClan warrior can't handle!", the medicine cat joked with her Clanmates. "Oh and I'm very impressed at that rabbit you caught Cheesefur! Are you going to help find the kits or do you want to help me?", Whitefire gently asked Cheesefur, while waiting for Tawnypelt to rub the paste of herbs on her head.

"How long was I passed out for? Did they find another kit yet?" Tawnypelt asked. Then sniffed. And grimaced. But kept quiet.

(wait. what kits were found again?)
"I'll stay here," Cheesefur mewed. "I'm not sure if they found anymore kits...I was away for awhile too."

~Um, we found Duskkit. And Ripplekit.~

"Can I go too?" Tawnypelt piped up. She didn't want to be an invalid, missing out on all the fun.

"You need to rest," Whitefire insisted. "You've got a good sized lump on your head."
Tawnypelt hesitated, and she finally meowed, "But they might need reinforcements."
"I could go with her," Cheesefur offered.

"Yeah! If they need help I'll just run back and alert everyone or yowl my head off. I won't get hurt again." [/i]Hopefully.[i] Tawnypelt added in her mind, but no one needed to know that, right?

"Hmmmm", the ShadowClan medicine thought again. I'm very sorry Tawnypelt, but you hae to stay here. You need to rest. They have plenty of reinforcements and you would probably get killed if you went out again.And the last thing I need is one of my warriors off to join StarClan.", Whitefire finished, closing the subject.

"Crystaldance taught you well," Cheesefur noted. "Too bad she couldn't have come." "Yeah, but then more cats would'nt let me go," Tawnypelt grumbled. "Well, can I help take care of Duskkit?" Tawnypelt asked hopefully. She loved kits: fat, fluffy balls of cuteness. Only she didn't want kits herself, but she loved kits.

"You can help me try to get him to sleep," Whitefire said. "Someone needs to go find his mother. He wants milk." (See? this would be the perfect place for a milk emote. if you read my post on that, (whitefire) you'd know. )
"I'll fetch some more fresh-kill," Cheesefur offered. "Maybe they found another kit."

(ugh my sister's shouting her know-it-all head off and saying "IN THE BOOKS, THEY NEVER USE 'SAID' THEY USE ANYTHING BUT SAID. THEY USE 'MEOWED' AND 'MEWED'. HERE, LET ME SPELL IT OUT." i'm not stupid.

NIghtfrost padded up to the ShadowClan cats. "How is Ripplekit?"she asked, worriedly and licking the little kits fur until it stuck up the wrong way. She, like Tawnypelt, loved kits and wouldn't want any harm to come in their way. "He's fine, just needs some rest and poppy seeds for the shock." Whitefire replied, gently nudging the cats over to make some room for herself. "Thank you," NIghtfrost murmured to her. "ShadowClan is lucky to have such a great medicine cat. Whitefire ducked her head in embarrasment and licked some of her chest fur. "Tawnypelt? Are you okay too?" Nightfrost turned to her friend. "I'm fine. I just wish that Whitefire would let me help search for the kits." she mewed irratibly. "Nonsense. you have to rest and let me tend to her head wound." Whitefire retorted. Nightfrost stifled a mreow of amusement and headed out of the makeshift med cat den, leaving the ShadowClan cats to themselves.

"Riverclan cats," Whitefire chuckled with amusement. "Is Nightfrost gone? I was going to ask if she could go and fetch me some more poppy seeds."
"Dustkit is eating them all," Cheesefur meowed. "Save some for the others, too!"
Tawnypelt nudged a little bit of moss in between her paws and then used one paw to gently roll it out until it had become a ball the size of large pine cone.
"Here, Dustkit," she mewed.
Dustkit sniffed the ball. Then, with great stealth, his little fluffiness of a body pounced onto the moss.
"He'll be a great warrior," Whiteifre remarked.
