Bird RP

Okay. I have to say I fail at roleplay titles.

This roleplay is based on a book called Ragtag. Here's the cover! (Don't bother clicking. It doesn't work.)

Well, if you haven't read it, I'll give a brief explanation. I've also slightly modified the whole thing.

There are birds living in the city of Boston and they are called the Feathered Alliance. The Feathered Alliance are made up of swallows, bluejays, sparrows etc. They are led by the Council, which consist of three owls. However, they face a new threat in the middle of summer. The Talon Empire have left the forests where they belong because of humans and are planning to take over the city of Boston, including the Feathered Alliance. The Talon Empire consists of falcons, ospreys, hawks etc.

Raptor flew across the forest as fast as he could towards Talon Empire's nest. "Talon!" He screeched at his leader. "The west end of the forest has been destroyed by humans! They brought all kinds of strange monsters with them, tearing the trees and our homes apart!" The west end of the forest were home to the kestrels and hawks, which was why Raptor was furious.

Fawkes was in the Council nest, pruning his feathers as he listened to his elders talk. Word from the Talon Empire has spread quickly, saying that humans were destroying their homes. The young owl however didn't feel as delighted as the others as they triumphed over their enemies' fall. The Talon Empire's leader was cunning.

Talon looked up. "This is the last straw. The humans will eventually reach here. We cannot fight. We cannot stay. We will attack the feathered alliance and take over their territory. Sparrows will be no match for us. Gather as many loyal burrs as you can. We leave as soon as possible." Talon sighed. Ever since Humans had started destroying the forest he knew it would come to this, but ye didn't want to admit it.

Raptor nodded curtly before taking off towards the north end of the forest where the advisor and training camp was. "Wraith!" He called out to the red-tailed hawk. He quickly explained what was going on and asked," What kind of formation should we have to attack?"

"I know what happened," Wraith snapped, clicking her beak. "I live on the west side too! And a tree almost fell on me." She shuddered at the memory, her feathers ruffling. The hawk tried to distract herself by concentrating on what Raptor'd asked her. "There are more birds of the Feathered Alliance than us," Wraith guessed. "So, no single line formations. Rectangles, two by two or two by three, would be the best so we can turn and defend or attack in any direction. Try not to get separated. And maybe two scouts left behind, sweeping the sides and back for possible ambushes."

"Noted," Raptor replied curtly. "I'll inform the troops and we'll attack tomorrow at dawn." With that, he dipped his head in farewell and hurried back to the west end to check on the current situation. Hope it isn't too bad...

Jay meanwhile was perched on the branch of his favorite tree, high in the sky, right next to the church. He liked to constant cool wind that ruffled his feathers and also liked to dong of the church bell. He somehow managed to sooth all his worries.

Talon glided up to Wraith. "We should take out their council. Without their precious "leadership" they'll be helpless. "What do you think?" Even though he was a leader, Talon didn't hesitate to ask the advise of his warriors. A second perspective could be very helpful.

"That would be good..." Raptor's head bobbed up and down in agreement. "The birds won't stand against us though. We're stronger, faster and larger than any of the Feathered Alliance."

"Grace!" Jay chirped when he saw the other mockingbird approaching. "How are you?" He asked, starting to prune his tail feathers.

"There's only three owls anyways," Drakk agreed He dived down to land on the branch beside Wraith and Talon. The kestrel had a natural innocent, good-natured look about him because of his markings, but the hard, mischievous glitter in his large eyes suggested otherwise. "The rest of them are little sparrows and mockingbirds and fat pigeons."

"Hey Jay." Grace greeted him, fluttering down to land beside him. The musical lilt in her voice was as pleasing as ever. She seemed genuinely happy to see the other mockingbird as she bobbed, head cocking to one side as she answered, "Quite well! You?" Jay could elicit more words from her than most others. Grace saw him everyday, and she viewed him as a close friend. Maybe even a best friend.

"Fine," Jay replied but after a moment of hesitation, he added nervously," I'm a little worried about the Talon Empire. Without their homes, they're bound to come after us." The thought of those fearful stories his elders used to tell about the raptors sent a chill down his spine.

Other: Incendia is very highly respected and a very loyal, fierce member of the Talon Empire. She is feared and respected because her father is Talon, the leader of the Talon Empire. (Is that ok?) She is a fierce fighter and is brave and strong. Incendia can be very stubborn, head-strong, yet hardworking, loving, and kind at times.

Other: Strong and brave Crimson is a great and a loyal friend to all. He is loving and sweet and tries to make sure everything is fair. He loves the little things in life but that doesn't mean he is some soft, daydreaming bird. He is quite fierce and powerful when fighting.

"Agreed." Talon said coolly. "I think we should pick five warriors to attack them, and the rest hold off and slaughter the so-called warriors. That way we won't be interrupted. I'll be one ofvthe five. Anyone else?" He asked.

Wraith leaned forward, her talons gripping the branch tightly. "I'll be one of the five," she volunteered. It was a pretty good plan. There might be holes, but she couldn't see any so far. As long as the Feathered Alliance managed to come up with something tricky. It was unlikely though, because it would be a sudden attack. Surely the little birds wouldn't expect it?
