If someone abandons a group another person they chose to take the group, or if they have nobody, the first person who wants it cna take it for free.

What do you mean? The deputy system and whatnot? I don't really understand what you're suggesting here; perhaps you could clarify?

Ok, so if a group doesn't have a deputy I'm saying anyone should be able to take it.

I think its fine the way it is. With Shadowclan, there were applications to try to become leader, so anyone who wanted to try would have a chance, and the most qualified person would become leader. Also, if the leader wanted to, they could chose someone to become leader.

Re: Group Abandoning
Well, it depends if the deputy and leader are active.
If the deputy is inactive: the leader can choose anyone they think is best to be leader.
If the leader is inactive: the deputy gets to be leader.
If they are both active: the leader can give their position up to the deputy if they like.
If they are both inactive: the admin (Dragonclaw or Bot) and GMs usually vote who will be leader based on applications, then the leader may choose a deputy.
Does that clear things up Lunar?

Re: Group Abandoning
If the leader is inactive, the deputy should get Dragonclaw's approval first. Just saying. If anyone could take the position of medicine cat, leader, or deputy if they were inactive, I think it could cause a lot of trouble. Especially if someone that wasn't in a Clan decided to take over as deputy without the Clan's leader's assent. I don't think that'd happen anyway, because the Clan leader wouldn't accept you into the Clan in the first place, and you wouldn't be given your deputy badge if the Clan leader didn't agree.
So yeah. :O
So yeah. :O

Re: Group Abandoning
Anyone can take it, basically. Almost everyone can apply to be leader of an inactive Clan (e.g ShadowClan).
Also, if the old Clan is inactive, sometimes it is deleted instead of "remodelled" because of complications. Most of the time a deputy is assigned right after the new leader is appointed, and the number one criteria for a deputy position is how active they are. Deputies can give up their positions if they feel they're no longer suitable, and sometimes the leader will choose to change it. It is rare that a whole Clan will become inactive, since having a good deputy is always a priority for a Clan leader. At least, it should be, to maintain the security of your group.
Hopefully I added some useful points xD Once again, this is not likely to happen, so we won't need another solution just yet.
