Special Skills: Despite the fact that she trained as a medicine cat for most of her life, she is a natural fighter. Hard to detect and difficult to match her lightning speed, she is always alert, always aware of her surroundings and what is going on despite her outwards portrayal of indifference. With exceptionally sharp senses, she is agile and swift, her dark fur blending into her surroundings. From her lifetime of picking and sorting herbs, her paws are very nimble and quick. Resulting from her creative and open mind, she takes different fighting moves and makes them into her own. Unique and unexpected, it aids her in her fights.

Weaknesses: Because of her lean figure, and her lack of strength-training, she is not as strong as a regular warrior. Dislikes swimming. Is a loose cannon: easily frustrated and angered especially when trapped with a large amount of cats. She sometimes acts before she thinks, which often ends catastrophically.

Appearance: Short-haired, dark brown tabby she-cat with hypnotizing, unnerving silver-gray eyes. When light reflects off them, they seem to be tinted a peridot-green. With a lean figure and long legs; she has a triangular-shaped head and angled ears that she often swivels from side to side out of habit. Pretty, but not stunning, her dark fur blends well into forests and shadows, and in bright sunlight, is tinted red. Her chin and throat is a soft white, melting into the darker color of her fur around her neck and shoulders.

Personality: She has two sides to her personality, the darker of which, she covers well. To her Clanmates, she was known as friendly, cheerful, polite, intelligent. Easy to frustrate, hard to please; expects nothing from her Clanmates. But on her darker side, she is cunning, sly, persuasive. Just as easy to frustrate and hard to please, she expects results from her Dark Forest Clanmates. Unnerving.

History:
Fernkit was born in WindClan, the first-born of her litter; Sagekit was her only sister. They were born in a time of hardships, in the middle of leaf-bare, with an empty fresh-kill pile and frigid temperatures. She was smaller than her sister, but she was more headstrong. At first, her Clanmates coddled her, but they soon found out that Fernkit needed no help. She was a natural little leader, deciding where her and Sagekit would go and play-fight, to practice hunting, and she even managed to tell off the arrogant apprentices with her sharp tongue. Everyone expected her to become a great warrior. But StarClan had other ideas for her. Fernkit became fasinated with the role of a medicine cat, and Heathersoul welcomed the independent little kit.

Fernpaw became the medicine cat's apprentice while Sagepaw became a warrior. Despite their differences, the two littermates kept a close relationship. As the moons passed, her skills were widely known among the Clans. Heathersoul even boasted that her apprentice seemed to have magic in those nimble paws.

Dissent was soon seeded among the Clans. Accusations were raised, complaints and angry threats. The current WindClan leader, Harestar, stayed on the sidelines. He did nothing, and simply turned away accusations, and made none of his own, even though the whole Clan knew ShadowClan had been hunting on the moors. Fernpaw was annoyed and frustrated at her leader, and she was surprised that practically none of her Clanmates really cared either. Where they really that weak? To allow other Clans to pick on them? When Fernpaw raised her opinions, her Clanmates scoffed at her, claiming that with time, the other Clans would back off. There was no need to cause bloodshed. Much to her dismay, even Sagepaw agreed with Harestar's reasoning. And at that time, Fernpaw hated her Clan for their obvious weakness. To fight.

Fernleaf became a full medicine cat two moons after the Gathering. ShadowClan had killed Heathersoul when she went picking herbs at the border. They claimed she had crossed it, and refused to admit that she had stolen herbs. Fernleaf was furious. She knew it was a lie, because Heathersoul respected Clan boundaries, if nothing else. But what did Harestar do? Apologize meekly, and carry their former medicina cat back to camp to bury her. Fernleaf was enraged. What had WindClan come to? Sagepaw, now Sagedapple, was too preoccupied and tired to pay much attention to her rebellious sister. She was always sneaking out of camp in the middle of the night.

Fernleaf herself was busy in her dreams. A strange cat called Phoenixglare had come to her in her sleep, teaching her to fight despite her role as a medicine cat. He told her that he was a former Windclan deputy, and he too, was frustrated with WindClan's incomptence. As the days passed, Fernleaf eventually found out that she was training in the Dark Forest, with many other cats from other Clans. Much to her suprise, there were some other WindClan warriors training there, like Iceshard, one of her Clanmates.

She talked to Harestar many times, trying to reason him into fighting back, because WindClan was losing more and more respect from the other Clans, and the Clan was dying. Each time, she was met with weary, repitive answers, vague and unreasonable. Fernleaf was too tired to try to force Harestar to reason. She was already busy treating her Clanmates for starvation and lack of strength and energy to do anything worthwhile, even though leafbare was looming right around the corner. Fernleaf tried to reason with Harestar one more time, practically yowling at the end of their meeting. Driven with the moons of frustration and anger, she finally told Harestar that he was the worst WindClan leader the Clan ever had the misfortune to have. And to that, Harestar finally showed some backbone, spitting,

"You are just the medicine cat, Fernleaf. Your role is to heal, not to fight. Not to lead. You are not the leader, and you will not decide what the Clan will do! I am the leader, and I shall decide what WindClan will do! Now leave!

Those words forever branded into her memory, Fernleaf decided right then and there that she would prove to the whole Clan that medicine cats too, could fight and influence what a Clan did. She was not evil and corrupted, but driven beyond reasoning with her loyalty and passionate nature. Fernleaf attacked Harestar, and killed him with her own unique fatal throat-strike.

Aere, changing her name from Fernleaf, fled from WindClan, and joined the Dark Forest for good, where she was praised for her skills, not shunned. There she met Phantom, a cat with a story not unlike her own. They became the best of friends and rose through the ranks of the Dark Forest together. She became one of the leaders, respected and feared.

Nightdust- short-haired dark brown tabby she-cat with mint-green eyes. Long-legged like Aere, she passed on her shadowy nature to both of her daughters. With a more sharp-muzzled face, she as a white chin, paws, and underbelly. She has a slender and petite figure, with shorter claws then a normal cat would. Despite that shortcoming, she has unerring accuracy, and her speed is unmatched in WindClan. Unlike Aere, she is not just pretty, she is stunningly beautiful, the traits inherited from her rogue mother. She died from a gaping wound in her chest, the result of a heated skirmish with another Clan. There is a rumor that Harestar loved her, and was part of the reason he went into a sort of seclusion during the time when WindClan needed him most. Is Aere's and Sagedapple's mother.


Blackstorm- short-haired gray tabby tom with warm amber eyes. With a lean, muscular build, he has a broad face and long whiskers. His claws are longer than normal, although for some reason, is always rather blunt. He is carefree, and rather sloppy in some of his work, and never really cares about what he looks like. Clever despite his outward sloppiness and indifference, he is outgoing and friendly, with a natural good nature. Sagedapple inherited his sharp wit and his common facial expressions. Fernleaf looks almost nothing like him, although she has his passionate nature and undying loyalty. He lived to old age, and is currently in the elders' den. Now almost deaf, he is blind in one eye, although he is as fiery and carefree as ever. Aere often watches him in his dreams, but never interferes. Is Aere's and Sagedapple's father.


Sagedapple- short-haired dusky brown she-cat with pale gray eyes. When light reflects off them, they seem to be tinted amber. With a lean, rather small build, she has a broad face and long whiskers. She is outgoing, witty, and clever. Cautious about everything she does, she always goes through what would happen if she did this or that. Pretty, but not stunning, she looks a lot like Aere, except with softer features. Her chin is white, like Aere, but her paws look like she just stepped into three-inch deep snow. She was devastated when she learned of Aere's betrayal to WindClan, but still defended her sister when her Clanmates accused Aere of murder and treason. Ever since Aere fled from her birth Clan, they have never seen each other, not even in dreams. Despite of what Aere did, Sagedapple still pines for her sister, just as she pines for her ThunderClan mate.

Appearance: large, golden brown tabby she-cat with vivid golden eyes. She has a pale underbelly and long claws.

Personality: She has the heart of a lion: proud, fierce, cunning, territorial, strong.

Special Traits: Exceptionally good fighter, although her hunting and tracking skills are mediocre. Often unintentionally intimidates others just because of her size and seniority.

Well first of all, I'm always glad to help people when they're choosing a new name i actually came up with an okay sounding name ehehe e.e

The descriptions are very good :O There was once sentence in your description that sounded grammatically incorrect. The one that started with, "Eith a lean figure and long legs". I don't think with is a good sentence starter for that, maybe had would be a better word.

The history makes sense. I could understand why your character would go to the Dark Forest.

The name Nightdust is like my friends combined: Nightfrost and Hazeldust xD

Overall, it seemed like you edited it pretty well, and your writing is good. Awesome job

Nice updates Aere! Maybe you should add Flamesoul and Phantom to More About Aere's Family.

It's nicely written, but it seems a little too unrealistic. I know your cat is a Dark Forest cat, but the weaknesses aren't even weaknesses really, and the description is a bit over-elaborated. I guess it's a trend with most to make your dream cat, but this is only my opinion, so you don't have to use this advice if you don't want to
