Windystorm

The Sand Swipe: (*) A move formed by Windystorm as an apprentice during the Journey. Only useful in sand. Hit the ground hard with any of your paws, making sure to do it so that sand sprays into your opponent's face. Effective when the nose and eyes are targeted. Temporarily blinds/handicaps the senses of your enemy.

The Sand Slash: (**) A move formed by Windystorm in the desert. Very effective for cats with short claws where sand can gather more easily, not very effective for long-clawed or cats with average-sized claws. Unsheathe your claws on any paw and swipe at the ground, making sure to gather and kick up a bit of sand right into your opponent's face. Your claws will also, if you aimed correctly, strike at the face or upper body of your opponent. If you miss your sand shot, it doesn't matter because you will get the sand gathered between your claws into the opponent's eyes/face anyway.

Leap-and-pin: (****) A move that is useful for cats with sharp claws and strong legs. You must stand in fighting position in front of your enemy, very light on your paws. Hop a bit from side to side to try and confuse/taunt your enemy, then, when they least expect it, give a great leap over them and land right behind them. Immediately spin around and dig your back claws into the ground, then go up and grab your enemy's haunches, digging your claws in as well. Twist violently and make them fall, then quickly pin them and deal damage.

Loose-paw: (****): A move that is good for light cats with average speed. Heavy/strong cats will have difficulty performing this move in battle, as they will most likely pierce skin or push their opponent around. Keep your paws light on the ground, claws unsheathed but not digging in. Swipe very quickly at your enemy with your forepaws so that you are almost always standing half on your hind legs. Every time you swipe at an enemy, your claws should not pierce their skin. It should only tear away fur. Do this repeatedly to both annoy your opponent and break through some of their 'defenses'. When certain areas doesn't have much fur or when you can't do this move any more, go for those areas and you will deal more damage. This can be a tiring move to cats with little stamina.

Gale Push: (***) A move for almost all cats. Requires average strength and balance. As your enemy lunges for you or leaps at you, go onto your hind legs and push them back fiercely. They should land harshly or lose their balance and fall. Follow up with a pin or overwhelm your enemy.

Rabbit Kick: (*****) A move that requires strong legs and speed. If your opponent charges, leaps, or jumps at you, be light on your paws and make sure they are sheathed. Then, time yourself and leap, almost as if you're planning to jump over them. You should jump over their head, then once above them, kick out strongly with your hind legs. Do not have your claws out, or you might get your claws stuck or ripped out, which is not good during a fight, or pleasant. This kick should send you up and your opponent down into the ground. It might shatter their shoulders, neck, or back though, so this is a deadly move only to be used if absolutely needed. It is very hard to time.

Snake Lash: (***) A move useful for average-sized to small cats. Surprisingly good for kits. (Must be far away from the enemy) When you spot your opponent, put on your best 'coward' face and curl up into a ball. Make sure to curl up tightly and to wrap your tail around yourself, covering your paws. Your claws should be out, but hidden by your tail. Use your senses to tell when your enemy is getting close or lunging at you. Then, lash out like a striking snake, claws out and teeth bared. This will probably surprise your enemy. Then, dig your claws into shoulder or neck and you will be able to make your enemy fall. Follow up with a pin or death bite, if absolutely needed. If you cannot master this move, try thinking of it as a viper striking, then sinking its fangs and not letting go. Be the snake.
Mouse Curl: (**) A kit version for when Windystorm shamelessly teaches the kits his battle moves. If you, for some reason, can't evacuate the nursery in time or are stuck somewhere when a warrior comes in, curl up into a tight ball and unsheathe your claws, which should be hidden by your tail. When the enemy gets closer or tries to grab you, jump up like you intend to attack, but instead quickly dart away from beneath your enemy. Do not attack. Seriously kids, you're mice, not snakes.[/size]

The Rebound: (**) A move for all cats, might require leg strength. If an enemy somehow manages to grab you and throw you, instead of hitting something, brace yourself and stretch out your legs carefully towards the object, then, when you land, quickly sink your claws in for more balance and jump back at your enemy. This will surprise them and you'll knock them down if they fail to dodge. Be ready to land if they do.

Claw Storm: (****) A move that Windystorm shamelessly named after himself. For especially quick and agile cats at close combat. A bit like the Loose Paw. When you are especially close to your enemy, lash out with all of your claws and deal quick, strong blows. Move around quickly as you strike and feel free to 'box' your enemy with your paws. Make sure to dodge any attacks. Tiring.

Leaping Blow: (****) A move for strong cats with quick reflexes. Crouch low to the ground as your enemy runs at you and build of power in your legs to leap. When your enemy is almost towering above you, leap and grab their throat in your jaws. Can be done to kill and to subdue. The move will hit your enemy so strongly that it will leave them out of breath. Almost deadly, do not risk it unless you wish to kill.

Windystorm is also greatly inspired by the great strategist Graywing/star who created many Windclan-only battle moves, so he will most likely use them often, as well as the normal warrior battle moves.

Running/Racing: Windystorm is one of the fastest warriors of Windclan, if not the fastest. He runs in long strides, stretching out his legs to travel the farthest distance without using too much energy. Then, when he sees his opponent getting tired or going faster, he runs forward in a burst of speed and energy and continues at that pace. He repeats this until the race is over, until he loses all energy, or loses.

Hunting: Windystorm is an expert at hunting prey in tall grass, especially prey like rabbits or voles. He has strong legs for running and jumping, and can move quietly through the moorlands, his brown pelt also doing a part in hiding himself from his prey.

Tunneling: Unbeknownst to his clanmates, Windystorm is actually okay at tunneling. His claws are short, but thick and sharp, which helps dig a bit. He cannot dig very effectively though because of his claw length and relies more on his clawing speed than how his claws move the dirt. Windystorm does better in a tunnel than when digging it because of his hearing and sense of smell. His eyes can't see in total darkness, so he relies on those senses and whatever vision he has to move around. Windystorm is especially good at flushing out rabbits and moving quickly.

Close-combat Fighting: Because Windystorm has the shortest claws in Windclan, after struggling as a young apprentice through his battle training and hunting, Browntail, his old mentor, had tried to teach him a more effective way of fighting. After his mentor's unfortunate death, Windystorm worked on these moves and techniques to develop a new way of fighting for cats who are quicker and have certain disadvantages. He's changed the normal warrior fighting moves a bit to suit him and his claws better.
(Windystorm sharpens his sharp claws on rocks by the Riverclan border every time he passes by, which adds to the deadliness and effectiveness of his fighting.)

Style of Fighting: Close-combat, usually. Windystorm uses his speed, quick thinking, and fast reflexes to be faster than his opponent and tries to confuse and frustrate them with various moves. He also likes to 'box' his opponent's face to disorientate them. He often uses his claws in different ways during a fight, and is usually unpredictable unless you watch him carefully. Windystorm is also able to easily shift positions and stances during a fight. Though he isn't the most skilled warrior, if you don't pay attention, he will trick you.
His moves can be very tiring and can take a toll on him and his speed, which is why he often prefers to fight randomly instead of sticking to a certain set of battle moves.

Windystorm was born in a barn during a border patrol that his expecting and active mother Morningrush insisted to be on. His father, Muddywing, who had insisted to protect Morningrush on the patrol, and the rest of the group were forced to stop at the barn where there would be a comfortable nest of hay that would help with the kitting. Morningrush's kits were said to be due days after the incident though, and without a medicine cat, every cat was stressed, especially the parents of the litter. When the cats had managed to find a few herbs on the farmland, the kits were born, and in the chaos of it all, Windystorm's newborn brother, Thistlekit (For an especially annoying thistle underneath Meadowrush during his kitting...), was sent over the edge by a warrior who had accidentally knocked him aside when rushing past. Thistlekit was killed by the fall. That warrior's name was Browntail. Meadowrush, wailing with grief and rage, had almost sent the rest of her first litter over too, if it weren't for Muddywing, who had calmed his mate down and retrieved his dead kit. The clan mourned for the couple's loss, but life went on. Meadowrush, though, had never forgiven Browntail for his actions. Almost 4 moons later, two before Windystorm and his sister Sunflower were apprenticed, the two littermates grew tired of waiting, like almost every kit, and decided to do something stupid brave in hope that they would be made Apprentices instantly. Windystorm's other brother, Duskkit, was asleep and they had not wanted to wake him for the adventure. The two reached their destination surprisingly quickly, but who can doubt two hyperactive, fast Windclan kits? While they were exploring though, a twoleg and her kits saw them wandering the streets from the windows and rushed out of their house to save them from being run over. Windystorm and Sunflower struggled, but Sunflower was helpless in the firm hold of the older kit. Windystorm jumped out of the twoleg female's hands and raced back into the forest as fast as he could. Breathless, he looked back to expect to see his grinning sister, but all he saw were the trees. Windystorm went back to camp for help, but it was too late and Sunflower wasn't found. Duskkit had also vanished while his mother had been asleep to look for Windystorm and Sunflower. He was never found. A few days later, they were presumed to be dead and Honeystar named Duskkit and Sunkit warriors during a clan meeting. Determined to prove everyone wrong, Windystorm, still a kit, went back to twolegplace to find them. He was captured then and kept in a twoleg family's home for the rest of the moon, given the name "Chester". The clan found him later trying to escape from the chiminy. He was stuck. They hardly recognized him with soot covering his pelt, but soon they spotted his semi-white muzzle and rescued him by called a Thunderclan warrior to climb up and grab him. It didn't take long for Windy to lose the extra fat he had gained that moon, and he was apprenticed shortly after. At first, Windystorm was a terrible apprentice. He was lazy, rude, and didn't listen to his mentor. Even Honeystar couldn't make him train, no matter how many punishments he gave because Windystorm's mentor was Browntail, the tom who had accidentally killed his brother. A no-rabbits, no-furry prey, and no-free running punishment later, Windystorm reluctantly trained for the first time. He trained with Browntail for a 1/2 moon, hating every second until the day Windystorm was stalking a rabbit. He was too focused and ready to chase that he hadn't noticed the fox trap in the ground. When he sprang, Browntail let out a screech and tackled Windystorm, knocking him away. Windystorm was about to lash out, thinking that this was a murder attempt to finish off all of Meadowrush's kits, but then he noticed the blood flowing from his mentor's neck. Windystorm tried to save Browntail by trying to yank him out using his strong legs, but it was too late. Browntail was dead. From then on, Windystorm made his best effort to catch up to the other apprentices. He still grieves for Browntail, the cat who he owes his life.

Windystorm's family could be described as a splash of the five original clans, with the skills and looks of his family coming more from Skyclan and Windclan. It is rumored that one of his great cousins was leader for a brief five days after accidentally assuming that his dying leader had said his name instead of another cat's when appointing a last minute deputy. When he visited the moonstone though, he was surprised to see his clanmate already receiving their lives. Let's just say that brains don't run in the family.

Windystorm's father, Muddywing, was a half-clan cat (More so than his entire family already was...) from Riverclan whose parents were Riverclan and Windclan warriors. He was a good warrior; always confident, always fighting for his clan. Muddywing also happened to be clever and always cracked jokes during a serious patrol. (You can guess where Windystorm's sense of humor came from...) In fact, he met Windystorm's mother during one of these especially serious border patrols during an especially difficult Leafbare. With the river frozen over, Riverclan was fighting over a rabbit that had, according to an apprentice, ran across the ice. In the fight Muddywing fought against Meadowrush. It was more of a tussel though, since Meadowrush's short claws were tangled in his thick brown pelt. He made the most of it though, making a mockery of the fight by grinning the entire time and matching Meadowrush's sharp tongue with superior his wit. After the battle had ended and Meadowrush had pulled herself out of his pelt, the two, now laughing, decided to meet in secret near the border later on. Six secret forbidden meetings later, Meadowrush announced that she was expecting Muddywing's kits and Muddywing switched clans to be with his mate. That didn't mean he came safely. After he told his secret to the clan, fur flied. He was forced to run with his clanmates chasing him about two fox-lengths away. Muddywing also made the best of this and toyed around with his clan, a silly grin on his face the entire time. He knew he was three times faster than any of his plump and bristling friends and always kept himself a mouse's tail away from them during the chase, holding back until he saw his exasperated and annoyed mate (Who, by the way, had waited and watched the entire time since the chase was near the border...) just across the river of ice and bolted through the 'finish line'. He was safe, but Riverclan still gives Muddywing and his descendants (*cough* Windystorm *cough*) a glare every gathering or two.

Meadowrush came from a 'pure-blooded' family. For as long as Windclan can remember, every one of her kin were only Windclanners. This line of proud Windclan warriors was broken when Meadowrush fell in love with a majestic idiotic brown tom named Muddywing. Windclan has always hated Riverclan and vice versa. After moons and moons of calling each other 'fish face' and 'rabbit heart', another half clan couple brought them together. They hated when that happened. But before her forbidden love, Meadowrush was the 'perfect' Windclan cat. Small but fast, proud but loyal, short-furred... Meadowrush was one of the cats on the list of who to make deputy before Honeytongue, or Honeystar now, was chosen. She wasn't half bad at hunting either. Then, she found herself tangled up with a goofy, fish-faced Riverclanner. (Literally!) The choice to meet was risky too. Before the fight, Meadowrush had another suitor; Galeclaw. Galeclaw, who was approved of and adored by Meadowrush's parents, (*cough* Something the clever Muddywing was not *cough) was supposedly one of the fastest cats in the clan, strategic, and kind. He was also in love with Meadowrush, which was a plus. Why Meadowrush couldn't feel the same way about Galeclaw shocked even herself. When put against each other, Galeclaw had lots of things that Muddyclaw didn't: Strength, short, neat (untangled...) fur, respect, strategy, and a sense of urgency. For some reason though, Meadowrush found herself attracted to the traits that Muddyclaw had: A sense of humor, wit, cleverness, speed, a mischievous grin, a solid color, thick pelt, a strange charm, etc. So Meadowrush left behind a good life of deputyship, a great mate, and her parent's respect all for Muddywing. (Good trade? You decide!) It never helped though that Muddywing, with that mischievous grin on his face of course, lived racing Galeclaw and always being affectionate with her in public. (Especially in Galeclaw's face!) She learned to live with her mate's antics though, but that never stopped her from being annoyed by them! (Somehow, she enjoyed that too.)

Windystorm was captured by a British twoleg family as a kit and got used to the way they talked compared to other twolegs. He mocked them by imitating them a bit in the way he meows, and after a moon of living a soft kittypet life, got used to it enough that he actually speaks in a charming british accent.

Windystorm enjoys hunting furry prey/long-tailed/furry-tailed prey because if he's fast enough to outrun his prey and grab onto their tails with his short claws. His claws get tangled in their fur, trapping them, and he takes them down easily. He also finds them delicious.
