Auburnpaw's warrior ceremony!

"All cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the Tall Tree for a clan meeting!" Icestar yowled and then climbed up the tree to a low branch and gazed around at the clan cats below. "Today is the day an apprentice of ours will become a warrior." She looked around for Auburnpaw to step up. Man, I remember when I first became a warrior. The good ol' days.

Auburnpaw fought not to just run to the Rock, but to walk calmly. He got up there, looking at IceStar and Rainfeather happily. That was the best apprenticeship he could ask for. His best friend was his mentor, and he got to go on the Journey. His emerald green orbs trailed to Stormheart. He smiled at her.

Icestar let out a small laugh when it looked like Auburnpaw was about to explode from excitement. After clearing her throat she then meowed, "I, Icestar, leader of MoonClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. Auburnpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your clan, even at the cost of your life?"

"I do!" Auburnpaw fought to keep calm. What would his warrior name be? Auburnclaw? Auburnflame? He was to excited to think straight! Would he get an apprentice!? Not yet! Calm yourself! The ginger Tom looked back at Stormheart, awaiting a look of pride.

Stormheart lifted her chin and nodded encouragingly to Auburnpaw, her eyes full of warmth. She wanted to let all of the pride she felt burst out of her, but no, not yet. She needed to radiate calm, something she had learned Auburnpaw wasn't very good at; being calm. He was always so out going, excited, and just plain goofy. She was trying to push in just one more lesson before he became a warrior.
"You have made me so proud," she breath, more to herself than anyone else.

Blazespirit sat in silence. Today was Auburnpaw's warrior ceremony! She was proud of the apprentice even though he wasn't her apprentice.
