DF RP: The New Leaders

Only Dark Forest Members can RP here.

We'll start off the roleplay with Aere and I becoming Dark Forest Leaders. Some DF members who are part of a Clan will have to choose whether they want their old Clan's badge and rank or the DF badge and rank. PM Bot if you want to change your badge and rank.

As you guys roleplay, we need ideas for the following. Just name your thoughts together with your RP post!

- Significant places of the Dark Forest
- Name for the place where leaders give announcements

"Aere!" Phantom sprinted across the clearing towards the other she-cat, suddenly feeling as excited as an apprentice. "Congratulations, sister," She mewed, a purr rumbling in her throat softly.

~I think the black river in the Dark Forest could be a landmark. ^^~

Aere turned to blink at Phantom, triumph and pride bright in her gray-green eyes. "You too!" she purred, nudging her sister. "We did it, Phantom. We're leaders!" The lean brown she-cat lifted her chin proudly, tail lashing in excitement. I have succeeded at last. A feeling of contentment and completion filled her heart as Aere glanced over her shoulder to look at the other cats.

~ That's a good idea. I never really knew there was one. What's the purpose of the black river? Is it just a landmark? A place to train? ~

"It feels good to have power," Phantom nudged Aere back gently, her ice blue eyes gleaming. "Being leaders, we have to take control and guide the other Dark Forest members," She added, her lips curled into a smile. "What shall we do now?"

"Congrats." Forestblaze meowed darkly, "You'll lead us well." She dipped her head, her bright ghostly shape dull. Her green eyes gleamed, "I'm still a senior warrior, correct?" She looked into a little puddle, seeing her kits and Eaglestrike. Pain went through her, but she knew fear was not accepted here, even though her kits could die without milk... Who will raise them? She wondered.

~Uh, can I start?~

Sparkpaw blinked open her eyes, there was a tom standing in front of her, his lips pulled knot a grin. "Hello, Sparkpaw." He meowed. "Wh-who are you?" She stammered. "I'm Camofrost, come I will introduce you to my leader." He told her, Sparkpaw followed him and they fame to a stop before a cat Sparkpaw thought she recognized. "Forestblaze?" She asked. Staring around her she saw a brown cat next to a small she-cat. "Wh-where am I"

~The river was a training area in the books to practice RiverClan-type moves.(: If I'm not mistaken, where the Dark Forest called meetings was a large, rotting fallen tree.~

Aere smiled, stilling her tail as she glimpsed Camofrost and Forestblaze padding up to them, an apprentice in tow. Her green-gray eyes narrowed on the apprentice immediately, discreetly judging and calculating her build and the way she carried herself. Uncertain, confused maybe, a little scared. She had trained herself to be a good at reading others, picking out lies and their feelings. It was an important thing to know anyways. Aere shifted her gaze to the other two warriors and nodded briefly.

Rockpaw blinked opened her eyes. "Hi Wolfspirit!" she mewed, looking at the tall, gray she-cat with yellow eyes that stood in front of her. Just up ahead, she saw two familiar cats. She barged past Wolfspirit and pounced onto the smaller cat. "Sparkpaw!" she mewed, smiling. "I didn't know that you came here!" She knew that this was probably weird to her best friend, but it was normal to start that way. "Unless... You're new. If you are, then I can help you train! It'll be hard, but it's worth it!" she meowed, excitement in her eyes. She felt Wolfspirit's tail rest on her back.
"Rockpaw, you're acting like a mousebrain," Wolfspirit growled, then softened up, "But I guess you should be happy to see a couple more familiar faces." The gray she-cat turned to Sparkpaw, "Hi Sparkpaw, I'm Wolfspirit."

Auburnpaw opened his eyes to see a dark, rotting forest, no familiar faces. "Where am I?" I thought aloud, narrowing my eyes at the many cats. He started to walk around, taking in all the sights and scents of his surroundings. Strange, he thought, that anyone would live in a place like this.

Sunbeam padded from the shadows. "This is the Dark forest. Where you train to be a better warrior. " he directed his comment to Auburnflare. "Come with me. I'll take you to the leaders and they will asign you a mentor." He meowed, his voice giving nothing away. Sunbeam padded toward Phantom and Aere.

"Okay," Auburnpaw had always had a hatred for StarClan. They forgave the wrong cats, in his opinion. Besides, they chose special cats, and ruined their lives. He saw a familiar black pelt, and ran over to the she-cat. "Viper!?" He exclaimed, happily.

~Oh, sorry. ~
Sunbeam walked next to Auburnflare. "So, is this your first time here?" He asked. Although he kept an impassive face, he was inwardly rejoicing. More cats to help destroy the clans!

"Auburnpaw (she doesn't know you're a warrior yet), Sparkflame! How are you?" Forestblaze meowed, padding up to the two cats, "Oh, Aere, can I have an apprentice? I want something to do instead of sit around all the time." She looked at Sparkpaw, hoping she'd get her.

Sunfire woke up, smiling and stretching. "Hey, Sparkpaw. And whatever-your-name-is." He meowed to Auburnflare, "Time to train."

-I'm still an apprentice haha-
"Hello, Forestblaze," He nodded his head politely. "Can Viper be mentor?" I asked excitedly to no one in particular. "The name's Auburnpaw," I laughed. "You are?"

Aere gave Forestblaze a short nod. "As long as you can recruit an apprentice and train them in our ways." She surveyed the two new apprentices that had shown up without any warriors having to go and meddle with their dreams; they seemed to understand that this was the Dark Forest, and they didn't care. In fact, Auburnpaw seemed eager to start training against StarClan. Pleased, Aere noted to keep an eye on him for the net few days. "I'm Aere," the lean tabby she-cat meowed, "one of the leaders here in the Dark Forest." There really was no point, she reflected, on giving away the fact to new comers that she and Phantom had only been newly appointed.

Sunbeam dipped his head to Aere. "Greetings. How is your new leadership?" He asked, envy clear in his eyes.
~Sunbeam is an experienced apprentice, not a new one. . ~

Phantom nodded curtly at the newcomers. "I'm Phantom, the other leader of Dark Forest," She hissed, eyes narrowed as she observed the apprentices gingerly.

"Dark Forest is a place where you will be trained mercilessly. We expect all of you to turn up at night every day and if you do not, there will be consequences," She continued, her tail lashing as she spoke. "Let's head towards the Dark River for a training session. You'll need to learn how to fight in water since you're not a RiverClanner."

Without hesitation, the silver-furred she-cat disappeared into the misty forest with Aere.

~ I've decided to call that forest the Whispering Willows! A forest of willow trees where you can sometimes here voices echoing. ~

"I'm a RiverClanner." Sunbeam muttered, but he followed the all the same. He would have an advantage, because he had practiced swimming since kit hood, but he still wanted to learn more. He raced after his leaders, keeping pace with them.

Phantom's ear swiveled towards Sunbeam as she overheard his words. "I'm going to teach you the improved versions of RiverClan moves. I was once a RiverClanner after all. You'll be the best RiverClan apprentice after this training session," She told Sunbeam.

Feral roamed about the Dark Forest camp, his dark gaze flickering from one cat to another. He observed the new apprentices follow Phantom and Aere towards the Whispering Willows. Flexing his claws, he lumbered over towards Camofrost and Wolfspirit (or whoever else who isn't going with the newcomers)

"Good!" Sunbeam growled. "I'll use the skills to become the best warrior the clans have ever seen!" Visions of the clans fleeing in terror before his claws passed before his eager eyes.
Soon the Dark river came into sight.

~Can you be my mentor, Phantom?~

"I will." Forestblaze purred, "Now, are you choosing my apprentice for me? OR may I choose who I want as an apprentice?" She meowed, following all the cats to the Black River.

~Who's Sunfire's mentor?~

"Sunbeam can be your mentor, Forestblaze," Phantom mewed quickly. She didn't think she was ready to take up the task of having an apprentice yet. She had more things to do. She daintily dipped a paw into the dark murky water and beckoned everyone else to enter.

"Just as the water flows smoothly, your moves must be fluent and precise," She gazed around casually. "Any volunteers for a demonstration?"

Thin Air padded up yo the river and prodded it with a fore paw. It oozed past around her paw in a warm sludge. After this, training in water ail be as easy as eating mice! she thought to herself.

~Don't you mean Forestblaze can be my mentor? ~
"I volenteer!" Sunbeam padded forward. Expecting the worst, he braced himself. He didn't under estimate Phantom, especially when water was involved.

Sunfire meowed, "I volunteer!"

Forestblaze purred, "Good, good. A young apprentice to train." She looked around. What was in her eyes was pure evil and pain. Pain from her life, evil from her new life, her new home. She looked at Sunbeam, and meowed, "Yes, you do volunteer. I want to see how good of a fighter you are."

~ Woops, my bad ~

~ I assume Sunbeam volunteered. Or is it Sunfire? o.o ~

Phantom knew that Sunbeam's large size could give him an advantage in brute strength but also a disadvantage in stealth and speed. "As you can see, Sunbeam's larger than me," She mewed slowly, keeping a short distance away from the other tom.
