Fur- Clocks was a beautiful pure white he-dog with a full coat. Now, his fur is tangled in the places it hasn't been pulled out. Twigs and leaves are entangled in his neck fur and tail.

~what are the cats and dogs supposed to fight over?~

Walking right through what was left of the wall, Fetch entered the backyard. It had never been fenced off and now it looked even worse than it did before. He sniffed the air, knowing there was no dust here. Strange. Even if there were no humans, why was there no scent left? Where were the bodies?

For food. Land.]

Clocks finished his small meal and padded onto the streets. He sniffed the air, smelling another dog, and crept towards the smell.

Frosty sighed. No food. She suddenly had an idea and bristled with excitement. The dogs didn't eat mice. There would be plenty there. She let out a meow of delight and darted south.

Jay pushed himself up to a sitting position. He sighed staring around at his ruined home. He was just a small pup when the disease struck. He had been lucky to survive this long without his owners. Jay missed them more then anything. He got to his paws and winced slightly lifting up a paw. He had stepped on some broken glass the other day and he was still recovering. The wound had been deep but he was thankful he didn't hurt his paw that bad. He limped toward the kitchen where he had his water bowl and food bowl, both empty. Thankfully mice were everywhere in the house. He dropped into a hunting position and slunk forward. A mouse raced in front of him and Jay bundled his muscles and leaped into the air. He landed on the mouse with sharp claws and finished it off. He smiled and happily ate the mouse. Jay turned around to see the window shattered and wide open, and he hope the scent of the mouse wouldn't alert anyone.

Frosty was not very far into the dogs' land when she smelt mouse. It was magnificent, a smell he hadn't scented since kittenhood. She bounded towards it, keeping to the shadows.

Stryker curled up in a ball, nose twitching, but the sudden sweet scent of mice brought his eyes wide open. He leaped to his paws, jaws parted as he panted in excitement. He had only eaten some chunks of turkey he'd found in his old owner's home. Stryker pattered out of his alley, turning several corners and finally stopping in front of a house. Almost immediately, he spotted the broken window. Stryker also scented cat, but he'd take care of that later. He was hungry. Bunching his muscles, Stryker leaped through the window, a piece of glass accidentally piercing his skin as he landed in the dusty room.

Frosty spotted a broken window. The smell of mouse flooded out of the hole. She purred and bounded into it, landing gracefully on a large fuzzy thing.

Jay leaped to his paws his neck fur on end. His eyes widened when he saw a cat and a giant dog in front of him. Jay snarled and stepped in front of his mouse protectively. "Who are you? This is my house and my food!" He snarled getting into a battle position. There was no way he could fight both a cat and dog but, at least he could try.

Frosty saw the mouse behind the larger creature. It was in the way of her food. She leaped to the floor and hissed at the dog with her back arched.

Jay snarled and scratched the cat square in the face. "Go find your own food!" He snarled more forcefully this time.

Frosty was thrown backwards but managed to regain her balance. She growled and launched herself at the puppy. "That's my food!" she growled to herself.

Princess smelled mouse, dogs, and a cat. She ran toward the smells. She may be small but she is fiesty. She hopped through the window and beside the fight. From what she heard, the mouse was the puppy's prey and not the cat's.
"That's the dog's prey!" Princess growled. She launched herself at the cat.

Jay noticed the new dog but was filled with relief once he realized this new dog understood. Jay launched himself at the cat and fiercely clawed at her.

Stryker barked, growling deep in his throat. When the cat fell his way, he dealt her a hefty blow that sent her away from him. "You're not welcome here!"

Princess swiped at the cat with both front paws. "Get out of here!" she growled.

Agito was walking around when he heard yowls from an old twoleg home. He walked inside and growled, "What's going on here?" he kew there was trouble between either food or just an argument. He glared at everyone, wanting to know what's going on.

Myst woke up and heard growling and barking. She followed the sounds and emerged in the middle of a battle. Those annoying cats! she growled to herself. Then the husky threw herself in the middle of the fray. "What happened?" she barked to no one in particular.

"This cat is trying to take dog prey!" Princess answered both dogs while slashing at the cat.

Frosty let out a series of yowls. Her whole body felt as if it was on fire. The cat dodged the next few swipes and dove past the German shepherd puppy. She spotted the mouse by her and scooped it up.

"It has the mouse!!!"Princess barked. She leaped at the cat and knocked the mouse out of its paws and threw it to the other side of the building. She started swiping at the cat again.

"Stop!" Myst yelled in frustration. "Can't we do this peacefully? And you got the mouse now, so stop fighting!" She leapt between Princess and the cat, separating them.

Frosty whined, laying limp on the floor. Those dogs were bullies, and nothing more. She began to lap at her wounds weakly.

"But it's our mouse! It's dog prey! No cat should try take our prey. No cat should be in our territory even! From the smallest dogs like me and the pup over there, to the largest like the rest of you, no cat should take our prey and bully us around! I may be small and tiny, but I know what I'm talking about!" Princess growled.

"I believe that cat has learned its lesson," Myst growled coldly, looming over the tiny dog. "Furthermore, I ask you, what good will bloodshed do for us? Will it bring us more food? We don't eat cats, that's disgusting. Will we gain more territory? Perhaps, but not in good conscience. Our beings will be marked by blood. So again I say, why can't we negotiate this?" The husky's shadow looked like a dangerous wolf's.

"Fine. I'll stop." Princess said and sat down, staring at the cat.

Frosty recovered from her beating and her wounds stopped bleeding. She slowly stood. The mouse wasn't to far and the dogs wouldn't expect it. She quickly slunk towards it, a slight limp in her step. She scooped up the mouse and ran to the window. She leaped gracefully to the sill and hopped down onto the grass.
